Leolympic Grand Finals 2013

Badminton Category for Leolympic and also Leolympic Food Fair.
In conjunction of Leolympic's Badminton Category, Leo Club of Ipoh Unity decided to held a food fair. Venue was at FRU badminton hall. It was quite a success thanks to all the Leos who came and support us. Most of the foods were sold out. A big thank you to Adelyn, Apple and Eliza for preparing the delicious food to be sold. Results for Badminton Category as below:

Men's Single
1st - Ipoh Unity
2nd - Tanjung, Penang
3rd - Chung Hwa Confusion

Men's Double
1st - Ipoh Unity
2nd - Tanjung, Penang
3rd - Ipoh Unity/Petaling Jaya Integrity

Afternoon
Participated in Leolympic Grand Finals. This competition consist of Champions of  Leolympic of respective states. Participating states were Penang, Selangor and of course Perak. Represented Leo Club of Ipoh Unity (Perak) in the Futsal category with my fellow team mates. The team consist of Meng Kwan, Yee Jin, Reeve Leong, Aaron OKV, Weng Kitt and myself. It was a last minute thing though. There were no representative from Leo Clubs from Selangor so Ipoh Unity participated as a back up team. It was held in Extreme Park, Sunway Ipoh. We emerged as Champions for the Futsal Category after a playing a very hard game in the finals against Leo Club Of Nan Hwa, Champions of Leolympic Perak Finals. Had a very great time playing with them :)

6th January 2013
Closing Ceremony and also Bowling Category for Leolympic Grand Finals. It was held in the bowling center in Ipoh Parade. Another last minute participation by me. Help up Leo Club of Petaling Jaya Integrity as a backup bowler because they lack of one bowler in their team. Was asked by Eric to join them, so why not? Haha. Leo Club of Sam Tet emerged as Champion for Bowling category. 1st runners-up were Leo Club of Ipoh Unity and 2nd runners-up were Leo Club of Petaling Jaya Integrity. Yeap, another medal for me. LOLS.

Closing Ceremony was held right after the bowling category. Medals were given out and Overall Champion was announced. The overall Champions, not doubt is Leo Club of Ipoh Unity. Champions for Badminton Singles and Doubles, 2nd Runners-up for Badminton Doubles, Champion for Futsal and also 1st runners-up for Bowling.
Our president treat all IU members Papa John's Pizza as a reward for our job well done. Haha. It was indeed a very memorable day!

Hitting the Big 20 with Surprise :)

It was a normal 5th September 2012, Wednesday where everyone is busy studying and revising for final exams.PS: UTP Final Exam starts from 30th August till 8th September. So, Jerry suggested to have lunch at the nearby Drive-Thru McD. The plan was to have our lunch there and then continue by having group study at the same place. We were joined by Stephen and Ming Miin. 

 We had our lunch and then proceed with the group study. Everything was normal until evening. Kien Ee, Danny and Li Juan came along too. Shanice and Jia Shyan reached not long after them. Michael was here too, Jerry fetched him. Its around dinner time so we all had our dinner at McD again. Chit chat a while after a long day of revising Discrete Maths. Bla bla bla..

Suddenly Jerry was holding a cake from behind. And there goes la the birthday song :') I am really touched by what my bunch of friends did to me. Giving me a surprise and all :D Moreover, I only knew them and were only close to them not long ago. Plus exams was just the next day, I never expect they will give me a surprise. Really really appreciate it. I'm very blessed to have such wonderful friends here in UTP.

 The surprise was also to Michael and Jia Shyan who will be hitting their Big 20! :) Michael's birthday 8th September and Jia Shyan's on the 17th September. Happy Birthday in advance to both of you! CHEERS

Yeap, we call ourselves the Techies Chinese. ICT/BIS courses people ;)

Not to forget about Ivan and Vizent. They gave me a present yo! The present were two pieces of PDI shirts yo! I really like the design of the shirt. Haha. Simple, plain and nice. Thanks my fellow brothers.

A note to Ivan, do take care yourself when you are at India. Enjoy your university life there aight? Most important of all have fun there! Come back in one piece! Please don't get over exited about pokemons when you reach India. lulz. If you know what I mean ;) We all gonna miss you! TAKE CARE!

Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP)

Peeps! It's been a very long time since I updated this blog of mine. So, as you can see, this post mainly about my university :) Yeap! It's Universiti Teknology Petronas (UTP).

Started my University life here on the 17th May 2012. It's a whole new chapter in my life. Kinda proud actually. Felt very blessed too. Thank God for giving me this wonderful chance to study in this wonderful University.

Ok, first of all, I would like to apologize to you all if I did not tell you peeps that I had left Ipoh. Sorry aight?


Orientation week from 17th May till 20th May. Kinda enjoy it especially the moral session but not the discipline session. Those so called discipline board dudes over acted their role. Acting like they are the boss and stuff.. Okay, let's move on to the next topic.. LOL

As you can see, the above picture is the scenery of my hostel when I look out form my window. It's so called the lake-view panorama by UTP as the hostel I'm currently staying now is surrounded by 6 lakes. LOL. About my room, it's very cooling at night, but it's super sunny when it comes to the afternoon. I had direct sunshine shining into my room. 

Took some random picture all along this orientation week.The picture on the left is one of the big football field they had in UTP. The picture on the right was the mosque in UTP. Actually the orientation week was still going on till the 27th May, I just skip most of it as information given was mainly for Foundation students.

For your info, I am currently taking the course, Bachelor Of Technology for Information And Communication Technology (Honours). It's 3.5 years course here in UTP. Plus, I will have a 7 months of Internship training in a workplace of my choice such as SHELL, PETRONAS, Schlumberger, UMW and etc etc that has collaboration with UTP.

The above picture is my Kad Matrik UTP. Lined-up for more than an hour just to make this card. Oh well, they have this law in UTP saying that if you are caught for not having your kad matrik, you will be issued a summon and might be banned from taking final exam. 

The next thing I would like to share is about the Oath Taking Ceremony. It was held in the Chancellor Hall on the 25th Of May 2012. One of the most important event for the entire orientation week. All freshman was gathered to go through this ceremony before they are officially considered as a UTP student.

THE JUDGMENT DAY (BBOY JAMZ)

Alright, on the 28th May 2011, Leon, Yi Qin, Russell and I went to KL for THE JUDGMENT DAY (BBOY JAMZ).  Left Ipoh at around 8.45am. The bus suppose to come at 8.15am. As a result, we were late to our destination. We reach Kelana Jaya at around 11.15am. Luckily Nicholas was there early so, we manage to register ourselves for the battle. 
The original plan was 6 of us will be joining. 
SOUL IMPACT:  Leon, Nicholas and Me
DYNAMIC SOUL: Yi Qin, Russell and Darren.
Darren can't make it so, DYNAMIC SOUL had to pull out from the competition as the competition was 3on3.
The venue for THE JUDGMENT DAY (BBOY JAMZ) was not really that far from Wangsa Maju LRT station. We reach the venue around 12.30pm. The Judges were:

Cyphers were everywhere during THE JUDGMENT DAY (BBOY JAMZ) . Met Soulend they all there. They participated in the 3on3 also. We cypher for a while, then the event officailly started. The event started with 1on1 Powermove battle follow up by 3on3 crew battle.
So, we ended up battling with Energy Crew from Guangzhou, China during the qualification round. We did not make it through the qualification round. But seriously, it was indeed awesome we get the chance to battle with foreign crews. Indeed a very great experience.

The event ended at around 8.30pm. We followed the coach provided by the organizer to our hotel. Overnight at Smile Hotel. Woke up at around 8am the next morning. We took a taxi to Gombak LRT Station then straight to Kelana Jaya LRT station by LRT. Had our breakfast at the mamak opposite Kelana Jaya LRT station. Took our bus home at around 1.30pm. Reach Ipoh at around 4.00pm.

Seriously, THE JUDGMENT DAY (BBOY JAMZ) was DOPE! Looking forward to next year's THE JUDGMENT DAY (BBOY JAMZ) VOLUME 2.

Job done? I guess..

Went to Dance Centre this morning at 11am. Went there to teach the kids the dance routine again. Well, the kids improves a lot since the last time i saw them which is on last Saturday. Din really choreograph much routine in it. Just used back some old routine and improvised it.

Half way through, Russell came, then Leon came. Mimi and the others was there since 11am.
but, someone is missing in action today.

Couldn't finish the whole routine today. Still got a little part more. Just 2 more eights to go somewhere in the middle. The whole routine is a combination of Hip Hop steps and a bit of Ballet. Hip Hop + Ballet?? Isn't that Step Up 1? haha
 FYI, all the kids are ballerinas. No harm putting ballet in it. :p

Miss Chin will be choreographing the ballet part, so, can i consider my job done? Haha. I will try to come for the last rehearsal on next Wednesday if i could make it. The kids will be competing on the 27th Of May which is next Friday.

OK! Exam is next monday. What am i thinking right now??

I want to score an A for Pengajian Am and IT. For Pengajian Am, I am quite confident in it. It is my best subject so far. For IT, i need to buck up a bit in my C++ coding because I'm still weak in it.

well, Maths T and Chemi, sampaikan salam is all i can say. Let see what i comes out..
